This is a beautiful Smith Corona Clipper vintage manual typewriter from 1946.

Smith Corona made models like these for many years because they are timeless and work so beautifully. The round glass keys lend a vintage feel and are easy on the finger tips.

The rubber is in above average condition for the age. Though hard, it is still solid and grips well. This includes the feet, the rollers, and the platen.

On this model, Smith Corona pared the Clipper down to the essentials for journalists or soldiers or anyone needing a robust machine to write with in the field. It lacks tabs and the delicate paper supports. It makes up for that in durability. Also it's just more sleek streamlined and beautiful.

Smith Corona was one of the earliest companies to use the floating shift. This makes for quick and easy shifting to capital letters an alternate characters. It eventually became standard on all brands.

The case is in above average condition. Is a little soiled but solid.

Each machine is cleaned and carefully packaged for safe shipment (believe it or not, improper shipping is the MOST COMMON CAUSE OF DAMAGE for a vintage typewriter).
